If the final image is a straightforward marketing visual, the model needs to accurately represent the visible product.

This is why the modelling process should begin with the intended use of the final CGI rather than simply trying to recreate every hidden detail of the physical object.
What If You Have an Existing 3D Model?
You may already have a 3D model but still need professional CGI.

CGI can produce an extremely convincing image, but photorealistic does not automatically mean dimensionally accurate.
